About Me
Who is Kitzzy?
My name is Kitzzy and yes that is my real name. It came from the movie "Roots." There is a character in this movie named Kizzy. My parents just added the "t" So it is very important to never forget to say or write the "t" in my name. ;)
I was born September 3, 1978 in Arecibo, Puerto Rico. I grew up in Hatillo, Puerto Rico until the age of 12 when my parents and I moved to Kissimmee, Florida. We left behind a huge family in Puerto Rico, which is what I miss the most. I love living in the U.S. and, except for visiting, I have no plans of returning to Puerto Rico.
I speak Spanish and English fluently. I also know some French and American Sign Language. I have an AA and BS in Liberal Studies with an Applied Computer Science Minor from the University of Central Florida. I am currently a graduate student at UCF pursuing an Instructional Technology Master's Degree and a Professional Writing Graduate Certificate.

My Work
I work for Course Development & Web Services (CDWS) at the University of Central Florida as the Development and Training Specialist. I manage the Techrangers Team and develop training materials to help them learn to do their jobs more effectively and get the most out of their CDWS career. I created TRA007: Techranger Certification Training, a training course for new Techrangers. My tool of the trade is Dreamweaver MX 2004. I am the resident Dreamweaver expert at CDWS and Macromedia Certified Dreamweaver MX 2004 Developer.
Keeping up with the latest standards in web design and accessibility is also a crucial part of my job in order to help my staff adapt and learn the latest standards. I also do freelance work in instructional development, technical writing and copyediting, and web design. For samples of my work, visit my portfolio.
