I tried to push the pace a little and it was tough, then I remembered I ran yesterday morning too and that's probably why I struggled plus it was hot and humid and I didn't bring any water. Felt good to run though.

Birthday Run
Today is my 32nd birthday, so I slept in til 7 am then started the day with a great run. It's been 4 weeks since I ran more than 4 miles, so it was a great present to myself. I ran 2:1 intervals, started slow, picked up the pace as I went along, and finished strong: 13:46 - 13:30 - 12:52 - 12:52 - 13:04 - 11:46. It was humid as usual, but not too hot. Now I'm off to enjoy the rest of my day off :)

Stardust
Another gorgeous night, and another awesome ride. We rode to Stardust after dinner for the Farmer's Market, and met up with Keri and Rodney. We ran into Lauren, Dan, and Thomas and hung out inside the cafe for a while. The weather was even better on the ride home with a lovely breeze and I didn't even break a sweat! I love it!

Oh running, how I love thee! :) I am determined to have a great birthday week, so I'm making running a priority because it fills me with joy and calms me down. I probably won't bike to work this week because I'll be running on the usual bike to work days. While I also enjoy biking, I don't love it as much as running, and at times it can be quite stressful. I only have 3 more days of work, then I'm off on Friday for my birthday and the beginning of a 4-day weekend! Yay!

Evening Out
We took advantage of the cooler weather this evening and rode to College Park for dinner at the Harmoni Market and dessert at UtopIt. We took the scenic route home and stopped by a lake with a rope swing for a bike photo shoot, then rode to Barnes n Nobles to check out some books. What a perfect evening!

I've been cooped up inside for 2 days, so I had to get out for a run after the rain stopped. Garmin was acting up, so I grabbed other watch and went. I struggled a bit because it was still humid. I wanted to quit many times but pushed through to at least 40 minutes, which I figured would be 3+ miles. Glad I got out and ran.
